Prattsville Housing Committee Reaches Out To Their Neighbors
02/24/2012 - The Prattsville Housing Committee will be hosting a "Housing Expo & Home Improvement Show" on March 3 (with a snow date of March 10) at the Fire House in Prattsville, NY. "The Expo is open to everyone in the process of rebuilding or new building, whether as a result of the devastation of Hurricane Irene or because springtime renovations are on your mind" notes Annie Hull, the Committee Chair. "This is not just an event for Prattsville residents. This is an event for our neighbors, near or far, who are interested in learning more about new building and rebuilding opportunities. Homeowners will benefit by being able to meet and discuss projects with many vendors at one time in one location" Hull further noted.
Vendors in areas of funding, grant opportunities, contracting, suppliers, landscaping, masonry, modular homes, real estate specialists and specialty trades are already registered. Registration for vendors closes on February 24th.
The Housing Expo and Home Improvement Show is Phase I of a two-part long-term community recovery project conceived and created by the Housing Committee. Phase II will be a Housing Resource Center which is planned to open early to mid-spring and will provide ongoing assistance to local homeowners.
The Housing Expo & Home Improvement Show is open to the public, free of charge, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
