LOCAL AUTHOR SIGNINGS & SAMPLINGS OF LOCAL PROUCTS IN THE HOBART BOOK VILLAGE
06/22/2012 - From Sunday, July 1, through Sunday, July 8, the five book shops on Main Street in Hobart will be celebrating Independence Day with book signings by two local authors and a free sampling of seveal local products. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet these creative writers who will be on hand to sign copies of their latest releases and to try several of the products produced by local establishments. There is no charge to attend these events and all are welcome.
Every day during the week, from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., each of the shops will offer tastings of local products including smoked salmon, cheese, yogurt and beer. This is your chance to try these wonderful local products that you might not have known were produced locally.
Sunday, July 1, at 2 p.m., Adam Speed is the pen name of former resident Adam Cornell. Adam will be discussing and signing his new mystery "The Catskills". The story takes place in a town of Coopers Hollow which is loosely based on the Town of Stamford. This event will take place in the Mysteries & More Book Shop.
Sunday, July 8, at 2 p.m., Join radio personality and author Big Chuck D'Imperio for "Upstate New York Stories". Chuck will discuss and sign three of his most recent books: "Upstate New York: History Happened Here"; "Upstate New York in 100 Words or Less"; and "Monumental New York". This event will take place in the Hobart International Bookport.
During the entire week Adams' Book Shop, Blenheim Hill Books, Liberty Rock Books and The Hobart International Bookport will offer a 20 percent discount on books related to U.S. History, Biography and Autobiography. Mysteries & More will offer the same discount on books written by American authors.
