Get Growing! Adventures Offered to Youth this Summer
06/22/2012 - Join "Get Growing! Adventures in Growing Food & Being Fit" with Cornell Cooperative Extension's Summer Youth Program.
The Summer Youth FNEC Program from Cornell Cooperative Extension will be bringing the nutrition education program "Get Growing! Adventures in Growing Food & Being Fit" to various locations in Delaware County throughout July and August. This free and informative program is guaranteed to be fun for children 8 to 13 years old.
The Summer Youth Program will feature information on the U.S. dietary guidelines and healthy food lifestyle and fitness choices for youth and how kids can grow their own food. Activities and games will keep youth learning about gardening, nutrition, healthy snack choices and how to strive to eat more fruits and vegetables each day. So look for "Get Growing! Adventures in Growing Food & Being Fit" Summer Youth Program coming to your neighborhood from the Food and Nutrition (in) Communities Program (FNEC), part of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County:
June 26 – July 26 in Sidney
July 9 – 12 in Roxbury
July 16 – 19 in Stamford
July 23 – 26 in Delhi and Margaretville
July 30 – Aug. 2 in Davenport
